SafeRide was founded in early 2012 by Scott D. Rownin, an inventor and entrepreneur from Westport, CT. Scott set out to develop a technology to prevent the use of a cell phone while driving. The culmination of this work is SafeRide.
As soon as you begin to drive your car, SafeRide disables the touchscreen and buttons on your phone. It also mutes the volume. As soon as you get where you are going, your phone unlocks and works normally. All of the messages and calls you receive while driving are waiting for you.
At SafeRide, we strive to continually improve our products. Every day we are looking for ways to improve the function of our product to make our roads a safer place for you and your family. But you are a part of that too. You have to make the decision to drive safely.
